Question about cookie mix vs. refridgerated dough

Wondering if anyone would be able to assist me....I'm wondering if you could use a refridgerated cookie dough in the place of the pouch "dry" mix?? I have an awesome recipe that I want to try that calls for the "pouch" dry cookie mix but only have the refridgerated cookie dough mix. Would it work?? Thanks:)
